PRAY AGAINST THEY is a survival, time-attack arcade game that is played entirely with the mouse cursor and button.

This game was made for the Scratch Game Jam #17 - Limited Space, with additional themes (e.g., 64x64 Resolution, You Are the Environment, Unconventional Weapon, and They Are 4096) incorporated from the LowRez Game Jam 2024. Due to my busy schedule, I was able to submit to the Scratch Game Jam only.

ABOUT THE GAME:

A child named PRIELLA has no where to run after THEY, a dimensional, dark creature population, have invaded the town. PRIELLA must turn to her FAITH in GOD and MOTHER NATURE in order to help protect herself and survive THEY's ambush. Stuck in her tiny backyard, PRIELLA must PRAY to the TREE OF LIFE for help. Wield MOTHER NATURE's POWERS such as LIGHTNING STRIKE , TREE TRUNK BLOCK, and TORNADO RAIN STRIKE to unleash attacks on THEY SWARM and their master, THEY BLOB.

Protect PRIELLA as quickly as possible and destroy all 4096 creatures within 10 minutes (600 seconds) or THEY will consume PRIELLA and take over the town, and who knows, maybe the world?

CONTROLS:

Use the mouse cursor to touch and collect lightning cloud orbs that fly across the screen every few seconds (every orb gives you an increase in LIGHTNING POWER by 7). Then, touch They Swarm to unleash a lightning strike to destroy each one. This power cannot damage They Blob.

Use the mouse cursor to touch and collect leaves that fall from the Tree of Life every few seconds (every orb gives you an increase in TREE POWER by 1. Then, once you have collected at least 3 leaves, press the mouse button to unleash 3 tree-trunk vines that surround and protect Priella. This is a great way to block and destroy They Swarm. This ability only pushes They Blob back.

Use the mouse cursor to touch tiny wind on the ground that spawns every some seconds after destroying so many They Swarm (Power Up Ability). Doing so unleashes TORNADO and RAIN Power that destroys 100 They, which is a great way to quickly destroy They Swarm and Blob quickly and in under 10 minutes.

You can press the PLAY BUTTON at the top right corner of the screen to restart the entire game (this might be needed if the game restarts with a glitch after clicking the GREEN FLAG SPRITE or the HEART SPRITE when they appear to jump back into gameplay immediately after losing or winning respectively).
